dionysist Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I am unable to loot only certain actors: Chaurus hunters, werewolves, and Katria's body in Arkngthamz. The last one is particularly troublesome because I want that journal. Has anyone experienced this or have any idea where I could begin to try and pin this down? https://loadorderlibrary.com/lists/skyrim-vr-uber-alles-4-0
traison Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Some things that come to mind: You can override default activation with perks. Disable any 3rd person activation mods, if you have any.
dionysist Posted August 14, 2024 Author Posted August 14, 2024 Thank you very much for the quick response. I am using Adamant perk overhaul, and not using Better 3rd Person Selection or any mods of that type. I will begin disabling mods to try to figure out where the issue might be.
dionysist Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 I found the issue was caused by the "npc enchant fix" Synthesis patcher. I don't really understand why that would cause an issue with looting only certain bodies.

I likewise occassionally have this randomly happen (usually with the vampire in the missives mod). Have only seen it indoors, and leaving the location and reentering usually fixes it. I likewise don't have 3rd person selection mod. Tried it once, and it caused crashes just like pretty much any mod that uses raycasting. I do have a mod similiar to your "npc enchant fix". Will try disabling that and see if changes anything.
dionysist Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 For me, this was persistent and occurred even in a new game. and only on those three actors I mentioned, chaurus hunters (generally found in intereiors), werewolves (exterior), and Katria (interior). What's even more strange, is that I have used the 'npc enchant fix' synthesis patcher forever and never encountered this issue before.
dionysist Posted November 16, 2024 Author Posted November 16, 2024 "I found the issue was caused by the "npc enchant fix" Synthesis patcher." It was because the NAME value on the actor was not carried over into the synthesis patch.
