Building the research table breaks the game on saving/loading; edit: it was the picnic zone

As the title says: when loading up a file with a research table built, the UI goes missing, I can't leftclick and ALL zones get deleted.
I narrowed it down to the research table being the issue. Luckily my oldest autosave only had the blueprints yet and it being built was the only difference to the broken next autosave.

The research spot from the primitive technology mod list works fine though.
Has anyone any idea what mod might cause that?

Or at least what type of mod.

Edit: Without the table I've been able to play for a while. The bug did however reuccur today without one. At this point I fear it might be random or caused by some unnoticed factor and corrupt the save date when saving.
