lifesuckz69 Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 (edited) EDIT: It came to my attention that the part where i say stuff is free was tied to my subscriber tier. I did not know it was gatekept behind that, since i do have the subscription and did not think that it gives me free shit on top of the other stuff I paid for (since they already give you credits for your subscription, but make you use them in the regular image generation), so disregard any free talk down there and try yourself how far you can get without paying anything So i stumbled upon the new Director Tools from NovelAI and it has stuff like remove background, sketch and whatnot, but we are here for the emotions tab. It lets you upload pictures and write prompts and people figured out you can write stuff like "nsfw, nude, naked, 1 girl, large breasts, pussy, pubic hair" and it does a pretty good job of removing clothes, so i thought it might be a good tool to get nude sprites and stuff prepped. It gets even more interesting, when you realize that generations on small resolutions are free. Here's an example with a Coral Island character: Unlike a lot of AI, it also works with dicks, even on more complex characters: Also impressive how it often retains the artstyle: Edited August 30, 2024 by lifesuckz69
ClosetOfDoom Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) Try this one. Remove his shirt and pants, keep the gloves and boots. Edited August 14, 2024 by ClosetOfDoom
RaidouPanda Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 (edited) Doesn't appear to be free for me. The minimum it costs is 20 gems. Maybe you need a subscription for it to be free? There also doesn't seem to be any way to do negative prompts, from what I can see, so it's not perfect, but it's not bad. Edited August 15, 2024 by RaidouPanda 1
DatWombat Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I ran a few tests on Novel AI this morning, I'm SUPER EXCITED. While the quality of the images is a dash below what I could make by hand, it's the difference between literally seconds and an afternoon. I'm gonna try experimenting with NovelAI some more and probably write up an article on my findings, I think this tool could benefit a lot of folk or speed up certain mods and workflows.
ClosetOfDoom Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Tried it myself. It's too inconsistent to do anything animated sprites, sadly. This is the best I could get. Also, it won't give me transparent backgrounds.
DatWombat Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 The thing is, I don't think the tool will replace artists. But it gives me a quick way to guesstimate nudity and I think it'll give other modders a quick way to fill out mod content.

Not seeing this. Shrunk my test image all the way down to 64x64 and the button is still asking for 20 anlas. Got my hopes up there for a moment.
dwvauade Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 It definitely seems like it would be useful for anime style visual novels with censorship. Tried it on a bunch of games like it and it did pretty well. For example this scene from the game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combate Spoiler before after Also tried it on KONOSUBA - God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Love For These Clothes Of Desire! and The Quintessential Quintuplets - Memories of a Quintessential Summer and it had pretty good results. 1

How big can it get before you need to spend Anlas on the image?

Hey, sorry to bug you, but the OP doesn't seem to be taking questions. Can you tell me anything about how generations on small resolutions are supposedly free? I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting an account.
lifesuckz69 Posted August 30, 2024 Author Posted August 30, 2024 (edited) ah sorry everyone, i watched the topic the day and after i posted this and then kinda forgot. Yeah not sure about the exact resolution it can go without costing anything. I do have an account, so i also am not sure how free "free" is, cause i do have access to it and the occasional ones that cost me i usually have enough "anlas" or what the deceiving currency is called. Otherwise I am super impressed with the results i can get. I have tried it on some game graphics (can't think of many with sprites/full body portraits), a few photos i had (yeah, it says anime only, but who checks XD, but it was mixed results. mostly you see that it's edited, but on some it looked pretty convincing, depending on image quality and light) and a lot of censored manghwa/manga and comics, as well as character designs on pinterest and deviantart and whatnot and usually i get usable results in 1-3 tries, even more complex stuff. Consistency for animation i can imagine is not the best, but anything fixed or as a startoff point i imagine could be very helpful. It's also great that it adapts to the artstyles of the original most of the time. The following examples either had no nudity or the typical manwha white splotch over everything. Third one was even black and white and i recolored it with the recolor feature: Spoiler And spiced up a Marvel comic panel: And here a character from Hades 2: This guy had pants on in the original image: Edited August 30, 2024 by lifesuckz69 More Examples 1

Yeah, my idea was for folks who can't do any art related stuff or as a starting point like you describe

I am basically taking screenshots of my screen and trying a few resolutions, cause i have no idea how else to figure it out: 1462x960 costs 27 Anlas 1186x999 costs 23 957x888 is free 955x992 is free I assume it might become tied to cost over 1000x1000 let me start up photoshop and save some 1000x1000, 999x999, 1001x1000 and such 1

Ok, it's not resolution but I guess general pixelamount??? I first started 1000x1000 which was still free. Then moved in 5 increments to 1005x1000, 1010x1000 and so on, which stopped being free somewhere between 1050 and 1045x1000, but if i lowered the height, it was s still free at 1200x800, so i guess a bit over 2000 pixels overall or something. Hope this helps, trying more than the already 20 resolutions i tried is a bit too annoying to keep testing ^^ Added a clarification about the "free" confusion in my first post Edited August 30, 2024 by lifesuckz69 1

When I looked around on other sites like Reddit it looked like the 'free' option was reserved for Optus members, is that what you have?

Yeah, thats it then. again sorry, since for normal image gen they just give you credits for the tier and still have you use those, i thought they would do the same on the director. 1
