Vaalsark - Head and Tail Invisible / Missing from the get go

I can't get the vaalsark custom race's head OR tail to show. The only thing that shows is the eyes.

 

 

I've tried the following:

 

• Editting the nif on the male head to link directly to my texture sets (shows up in nifscope now rather than plain white, but still not in game)
• Changing the version back to older ones on the mod page itself (really no point)
• Removing all other mods (all I have is the race compatibility mod and vaalsark mod together like how it is packaged in version 1.4.4)
• Tried different versions (doesn't work on 1.1 skyrim nor 1.9)...
• Different save files (I'm on the starting quest with Ralof from the beginning at level 1 in the photos above)

I don't understand why it just doesn't come out just fine. It used to work before for me, but my workstation has changed as I've reformatted my pc, and reinstalled skyrim on windows 7 64 bit. This, again, does not work on my dad's pc either which runs both xp and windows 7 32 bit.

 

Any help? Everyone else's works just fine it seems like.
