wattbatt Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 I found a nice ks hairdos hair for an npc I want to create, but it would be better if it was mirrored. Can I do it somehow with bodyslide or nifskope?
Guest Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Hello, yes its possible to do it inside Outfit Studio with static hair albeit it can take a lot of patience (depending how complex the hair mesh is). Carefully mask half the hair and from there you can seperate the two sides via "seperate vertices". Lastly, right click on the part of the hair you want to keep (on the mesh list on the right), mirror > X. Then just make sure it lines up, weight it to the head (you always need to re-weight after mirroring I believe, but static hair is a no-brainer, paint it red) and you're good to go. Example image below of the mirror context menu. Good luck. Spoiler

I don’t want to delete one side and make it identical to the other side, i want to “invert” the sides, like make the left side the right one and the right one the left one. Like say for example there’s a braid on the left side and straight hair on the right side, i want to swap the sides and make the braid side be the right one and the straight side the left one. Any hints on that?

Any hints on that? Ah just inverting; that's even simpler then. Again, it would still be a case of opening the mesh in Outfit Studio and mirroring by the X axis (that will invert the mesh). Here's a image below; same hair style but if you look at the difference; it inversed the sides. So in your case, still try mirroring the hair by the X axis; it should swap the braid/long hair on the opposite sides. Spoiler
