Anyone know how to rig a model as a bomb -- blender

I'm working on a outfit based on Borderland's Tiny Tina, and I'd like to make some triggerable bunny bombs. I've completed the model, but I don't know how to properly create or parent to a weapon's collision data. If anyone would be able to assist (or refer to me where I might learn how myself), it would be much appreciated, and I'd give credit in the release.

 

A couple of pictures of the whole ensemble. I've tweaked the bunny a little since these so it doesn't look quite as much like a mutant wombat.

This is actually the third Borderlands outfit I've done, the other two being Moxxi and the Psycho. All from scratch, no porting of any Borderlands resources at all. Once I have this current outfit added in, I'll put it back up here.
