doesnt seem like anyone started on anything related to this game, shame

not yet, either the modders are waiting for the character they want or they not doing it due to not everyone is able to use the mods because they dont have the characters.

compare to warframe only make game slightly better. compare to other game ? no, even diablo immortal slightly better because at least they not soft lock class behind paywall

there's no paywall if you can farm it... paywall is when you can't have it at all if you don't pay that's the meaning of it.

Your compairing a looter shooter to a isometric rpg ofc its going to be monetized differently out of the looter shooters the first descendant has the best monetization.  Warframe has all the same types of paid services plus more hell Warframe has rng mod packs and don't even get me started on destiny where you have to pay to unlock content constantly.  People are just hatting on the game for no reason but hey that's ok if you don't like it don't play it.

So I did a bit of digging.

It turns out they're using the free version of EAC that can just be turned off in the settings.json and it will still launch the game just fine without EAC.

And weirdly enough, BlackCipher, Nexons in-house anticheat, has no heartbeat. If you shut it down while the game is running you stay connected and the game keeps running.
All of that allows you to hook a standard version of CE without any visible freakout.

I am not willing to go any further as I could've missed something and I seeing as I've spent 180 hours on this game, I'm not interested in potentially jeopardizing my account.

Do with this information what you will, but it might be more possible to launch the game modded than I initially thought.

doing this EAC thing doesn't seem to do anything, just hides the launcher XD

You must've done it wrong. If done correctly EAC will not launch, you can check the task manager if you did it right.

Not sure if the game is currently moddable. It's using utoc/ucas formats which require modded packages to be signed, and tocpatcher to sign them in compatible way doesn't work with UE5.2

If anyone can confirm y/n for this let me know

This is actually hilarious. They must have good server-side AC. But good news for modders, just use 3DM.

Seems EAC is probably preventing the game from loading external files(Expected). Not sure how to edit the json to disable it to check if thats the case or if my files are just screwy

maybe some kind of overlay?
like mods for genshin impact - GIMI or wuthering waves (wuwa is on Unreal Engine too) - WWMI
both loads before game start "inside you pc" and do not touch any client files at all

no one is modding this game yet so cannot test anything yet, plus, thats also how cheats work, they run along side with your game so it might trigger the anti-cheat.

game run on UE5 so it already support that jiggle and again, that was depend on modder to add that function to model or not. so that not something really attractive to modder. and that not even problem here, for modder to bust the ass grind this game for like 20 hours just to unlock 1 char, any intention of modding already die down along the way
