mosquito__maschino Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Hey, is there any other option available for modding default body textures (normal maps and etc.) without using now-deprecated uMod method? I'm talking about this mod by Holden specifically: Spoiler https://www.undertow.club/threads/doa5-lr-hd-sensual-bodies-mod.3151/ It has zip-archives with dds textures named in a complicated way, so they would work by injecting files into executable (e.g. name is game_W512_H512_D2_F827611204_V_0XF56D37B9D12707A.dds). Looked up default costumes via LR Studio and Archive tools - should I manually change texture for every single outfit listed or I'm missing simpler way, perhaps? Texture names are way different there ofc so it's confusing on what to do next
Meister89 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) You can switch textures out with this tool. A bunch of tools below not my upload just share the link: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9zi2gt8dyllaj/doa5mod Get the "Texture_Tool_JPN_Custom_0.14.2" one. Open .TMC with it. Then it lists all textures connected to the outfit. You can replace now by simply drag textures over the slot you want to replace, save and done. In general If you decide to go deeper into doa5 modding good tutorial here: https://www.deviantart.com/peresabcod/journal/Tutorial-removing-elements-of-a-DOA5-TMC-costume-851890041 And here... need to check his gallery couldn't find them on 1st sight but he made good tutorials: https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/cfreitas/mods?gameId=892 Edited June 27, 2024 by Meister89 1

Might look up tutorials in case of something more complex, RN I only had an intention to replicate doa5lrscreenshots's graphics style cuz that bump looks much better than vanilla to me. 1
