SKSE refuses to start from MO2

I took a hiatus from Skyrim after the forced update to 1.6.1170. While I may or may not have resolved an issue to do with hdtsmp64.dll, I can't actually test it, as I find myself faced with a new problem, something I've never seen before. When I try to start SKSE AE from inside Mod Organizer 2 (v2.5.0), the little Skyrim window pops up, and the MO console locks up as normal. But then, after about a minute, the MO console unlocks, as though I never tried to open SKSE at all. There is no crash log, and the problem recurs whether or not I use my clean or NSFW mod profiles. Worse, I have yet to find any troubleshooting posts here at LL or elsewhere addressing this issue. Does anyone have any ideas what my problem is?

The only thing weird about this is the 1 minute delay. Otherwise sounds like just another crash.

Its possible to terminate an application as a result of a handled exception. It will look like a crash (terminating because of an unhandled exception) but technically these are very different. Crash loggers generlly only handle unhandled exceptions. You'd need a debugger with the capability to intercept handled exceptions if you want to "log" that one.

Especially considering this was the result of a game update, your issue is most definitely in a mod with a dll.

My guess is you "fixed" a problem with a solution that is incompatible with Skyrim AE 1170. Without knowing what was wrong and what you did to fix it, it started after doing this? Undo it and see what happens?

No go. The plug-in that was giving me trouble was HDTSMP64.dll. Unfortunately, turning off, uninstalling, and reinstalling the latest version of FSMP have produced no change.

Have a look in Event Viewer in the Windows -> Application log. Got any AppCrash entries related to SkyrimSE.exe in there that would time-wise line up with your Skyrim crashes?

None.

Then unfortunately this is an issue I'd have to see for myself.

If you're up for it: RustDesk seemed to work fine last time. No installation required. I remotely control your computer for a while, bring my tools if necessary (none of which require installing). Obviously you'd have to trust me and my tools 100% for this. There's nothing I can say to prove I'm trustworthy other than that you can go through my post history on LL, maybe it carries some merit. Personally I'd decline this offer, but obiously our circumstances are different.

Edit: I will also quote the RustDesk warning here, as its important:

Quote

WARNING: YOU MAY BE BEING SCAMMED!
If you are on the phone with someone you DON'T know AND TRUST who has asked you to install RustDesk, do not install and hang up immediately.
They are likely a scammer trying to steal your money or other private information.
