FO4 Hotskeys mod

Hey.

 

When I use the consolecommand to assign Throw Grenade & Melee to different hotkeys, as per this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/192

I get an error saying that the command doesn't exist.

It's this mod:

Any idea what's wrong?

Just use this mod instead, Melee and throw. If it doesn't work with the next-gen update, the mod creator has said they will fix it, once Bethesda are done fixing things.

Oh, nice! I'm playing with the Downgrade, so that should work.

Played around some more with the Hotkeys. It seems like the cqf command doesn't work for me. I added "cqf WestTek_GoggleControlQuest GoggleToggle" to the hotkeys files, but I only hear a dull "click" when pressing "N".

If that is west tek tactical optics, then there is an aid item you craft, and then add it to the vanilla hotkey system, so you toggle the vision mode as you want. I wouldn't recommend trying to use the hotkeys mod to bypass it. As some who once used the hotkeys mod - but stopped doing so years ago, do you really need that mod? Outfit switcher doesn't require it, I find there are more than enough keys on a keyboard if mods require a hotkey for any reason.

I had to bind the hotkey to the function via the consol command. Using the Switcher item didn't work.

If the switcher item doesn't work, that suggests a bigger issue. Have you tried making a new save and giving your character the note (as describe on the mod page) and see if it works then. If it doesn't then reinstall the mod, and see if anything changes.

 

Comparing your mod list to mine, we have it in a similar position, so I'm at a loss of why the mod doesn't work for you.

Weirdly enough, using hotkeys to split grenades & melee didn't work and I used your earlier suggestion.

My gut tells me it has something to do with how the Hotkeys work.

Anyway, it works, so not going tinker around too much now.
