traison Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 (edited) I assume by driver timeout you mean the thing where Windows tells you it restarted the display driver and your screen perhaps flickers a bit? If so then that's an issue with your display driver and/or the display adapter. Software running in usermode is unable to crash a driver, unless that driver it self has a bug in it. Newer does not mean better, especially when it comes to running old software. I'll have a look at the crash log once LL lets me. Keeps telling me the file doesn't exist right now. Driver was once(there was no flicker only black screen),now game crashes with that log. My card is 7800xt and using 23.10.2 drivers since there was most stable, and it's only to Estrus mod related, otherwise they are stable Edited May 30, 2024 by Syczek111
traison Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Well the crash log says the crash occured in d3d11.dll+012C370. That's DirectX 11, or potentially a proxy library if you have a hack installed that uses it to tap into the game. Sticking to my earlier assesment: this is quite likely a driver issue. Disable things like CS, ENB and ReShade if you have them (obviously).

I am using this enb https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1089 Edited May 30, 2024 by Syczek111

I don't know what shaders would compare to: firmware, kernelmode or usermode code. I would assume even though they may run as-is on the hardware (more like firmware) that there would be an API there (more like kernelmode) to prevent compromising the stability of the hardware. Still smells like a bug to me.
