Criticism of the panties feature [and definitive way to get panties from specific sim]

I was never into panties stuff but its a really fun idea for WW. It gets my sims around because I dont like traveling that much in the game unless I have to. So I finally gave the feature a real try.

 

I sent my teens to school and got pants from a locker of another student. Ok, random pants. Nice. The sim wasnt a weirdo and neither was the school lot marked for weirdos either. This got me thinking. I may have found a way to get panties of a specific sim. Sometimes husbands want to be weirdos too.

 

I have sim A living with sims B. I want the panties of sim B. So I moved sim B to another house and then visited with sim A. In the house there are three drawers. On the first visit I found panties. Imortant to note here is that there were three drawers and they allowed me to endlessly try to steal panties.

 

My mistake was to have two sims in that household and of course I found panties of the wrong sim. I moved the unnecessary sim out of the house and visited it again with sim A. This time no panties.

 

After more testing with this method I still havent found more panties. I had to rebuild the house too because for some reason the entire interior was gone when I moved sim B out. I moved two sims back in, checked drawers but still no panties. Enabled NPC sex and had them go at it several times. No panties.

 

Whats not mentioned in the info about this feature, is there a cooldown on each drawer? Because I can keep searching the three drawers one after another over and over but I dont know if I ever find panties again due to a low chance or one time only. If its one time only per household, is there a way to reset it? Like moving the sims out and back in.

I also found one household where I found panties in the first drawer and then I could not try further because the option was greyed out.

 

So in one household I could try endlessly which suggests there is still a chance but after over 20 tries I lost motivation to keep going. In another it told me there is no more to loot.

 

 

I switch to a completely different sim, visit a completely different house and get panties from the third drawer. I kept going with this sim for 20 houses and I ended up with six, one double. And several tries on my first house ontop.

 

But at the end the household with sim B from who I want panties with more drawers than any other visited house still does not yield any panties but I can keep searching. But is there a point?

 

I saw a video of a guy reviewing this feature and he had the collection almost full in no time. Either there is a specific rule about getting them because breaking in and NPCs woohoo'ing only has a low chance or something is preventing my sim from getting panties from specific sims.

 

This feature could use a manual option to drop panties.

 

Also there is no indication how trading of panties is supposed to work. In the video the option is directly on the sim and not inside the pie menu. I have no idea how to trigger that. Or i cant trigger it with the conspiracy theorist who Im trying to trade with. Going with a non-weirdo to a lot with the weirdo trait and meeting weirdos doesnt reveal the option to trade either.

 

 

FINALLY!

 

After many attempts, moving sims, breaking into countless homes especially the temporary home of sim B, I got the damn panties I was looking for. Right after I removed the "no underwear" wicked attribute from her... *facepalms*

But since trading doesnt work for me, I just dropped the panties on the ground, switched sims and picked the desired panties up with the desired sim A to get the panties of sim B.

 

I accidently discovered that the break in isnt necessary to get panties. All you have to do is have one weirdo visit the lot you want panties from, knock on the door and then you can use the NPC sex option in WW. Just have the sims have sex and they drop the panties with a very high chance. Or so I thought. The chance is next to zero for me right now.

 

Not just the description of the feature needs a slight overhaul, some of the features need tweaking too.

I watched it before posting. Thats the video Im refering to. He made it look so easy. But I think he tried it way more times and just cut out the parts where he didnt find anything. It also shows the option to trade panties but ingame the option isnt actually there. I just dropped the panties on the ground, switched to the desired sim and picked them up instead. Different method, same result.

 

Like I said, could use some tweaking.

Trading Panties needs 2 things to do in your game before you can use it.

1st: You need a lot with the lottrait for weirdos. A Park is imo a good lottype for that.

2nd: You need some sims with the "weirdo" attribut. Do not give your active played sims the weirdo attribut.

 

When you visit the lot with the weirdo lottrait, automatically all sims you marked as weirdos show up in the lot and you can ask them to trade panties. There is a small chance of failing and the weirdo do not want to trade with you, but mostley the weirdos trade. The panties you can get from them are totaly random.

 

The best way to get specific panties is to have sex with the one you want the panty from. Another way is to be close to the person (window peeping or "stalking") when he/she has sex with some other and a bit luck, that the pantie from the right person of both is dropping.

 

Laundry Day Pack required: Another way to get specific panties is to use filled laundry baskets (this does not work in your own houshold). From the laundry baskets you get worn panties instead of clean panties that you become from most lockers or wardrobes. It needs a bit of work before. You have to place the basket and play the houshold to fill the basket. Empty laundry baskets are not searchable. So if you have filled the basket you visit the houshold and now you can search for panties from sims living in this houshold.

 

Searching wardobes, lockers and laundrey baskets have a high failling rate like 1/10.

I had a lot with the weirdo lot trait and all weirdos showd up including sim A who needed the specific pants. But it makes no sense to not give sim A the weirdo trait. Unless non-weirdos can trade with weirdos.

 

I had sims woohoo with sim B while peeping through the window. But no pants dropped. In the end I found them with sim C in the temporary house of sim B.

 

Apparently the most reliable way to get specific panties is to put a single sim into a house and break in (requires For Rent).

For sure non weirdos can trade panties. When talking to a weirdo on the weirdo lot you must use the friendly piemenu and then the ww menu, the same where you can talk about nudism. I searched alot and found the old changelog from the panties update and it says: "The Weirdo Wicked Attribute is intended for Non-Playable Sims."

Yes i think splitting the ww menu was one of the not so good changes in the past. I think much people do not realize that most features was moved in this "hidden" menu. I dont like it because it is a mess of klicking to get to the menu.

Does anyone know what the trick is to get the 5th female pair/ 5th one in the top row? I've tried woohoo with sims of all occults, ages etc, most of them in ridiculously high numbers by now, none of them seem to drop it. Does it only drop from dressers or trade?

Drops are random. I dont know if saving and reloading creates new drops in the homes we already looted. But they drop from closets and clothing baskets if you have the washing stuff DLC which yields worn panties instead of clean from the other sources.
