Is "XML - Injector a "safe" download ?

Hello, I wanted to add a mod i found here but it require "XML - Injector" but the link going to it seems to be a non-safe internet site.

 

I mean, the kind of site that makes you wonder if your computer is going to get a virus or malware if you download on it. Or if the game/PC gonna crash after using it.

I hav'nt dowload it for now, bc the site the site hosting it looks suspicious.

 

Moreover, this mod I want to download is just a new character trait for sim. It doesn't seem to me that it is necessary to download anything other than a classic "package" "turbodriver" type mod is necessary to download character traits. I'm more than reluctant to go and download XML Injector.

 

I need informations about that.

XML Injector is an perfectly safe plugin created by the late Scumbumbo, now mantained by Triplis, and is required for a large amount of modded content out there for The Sims 4. I don't know what site you're referring to, but the only sites I know of that host it are CurseForge, a Sims 4 modding site, and Scumbumbo's personal website, and those sites aren't malicious. 

 

It's a script mod that doesn't do anything by itself, it was only created to assist other mods to function properly in your game and is very useful for modders who don't want to take the time to learn how to write and maintain Python code and allows users to have numerous mods of the same type without any conflicts.

 

Downloading it alone will not corrupt your game, won't change the game, nor do anything else to your game or your computer other than allow mods that require it function normally. In fact, to get the most out of the modding community, you should have it. I use it and I wouldn't be playing this game without it.
