Has a perk ever changed the way you play the game?

Normally I’m a sneaky pew pew with the Deliverer, but since I took the last perk in Idiot Savant, which chains XP whenever it pops, has totally changed the way I play the game. Now, if the perk pops I go completely mental with everything I’ve got to scoop up as much XP as I possibly can.

If it did, I don't remember. So it must not have been a big deal. I did take Aqua Boy once, and spent a lot of time swimming, but that novelty wore off pretty quickly.

 

I have never taken the Idiot Savant perk I am 100% certain of that.
