This guide is meant to be short, sweet and to the point, and will assume you think RAM is some kind of car.

REMEMBER:  CREATE BACKUPS OF YOUR SAVES!

As this is not a guide for backing up saves, I advise you to find one.

As far as rolling back the game is concerned, this isn't a critical step.

It may not even affect them.

But there is ALWAYS the chance you will lose whatever progress you've made.

First things first, you need to open your steam console.  To do this, click Here.

If the link doesn't work, simply enter:

steam://nav/console

into your web browsers address bar.

Once done, you should have a shiny new tab in your steam app.  Should look something like this.

Click it.  You should now see something like this:

Do you see this? If so, GREAT!  If not, start over from the top.

NOW, you need to download the appropriate files.  No worries, the process is simple enough.  All you have to do is copy each of the lines below into the steam console, ONE AT A TIME!

This assumes you have the English version, and all DLC's

If you do not have DLC's, ignore the last 3 files.

If you do not use the English version, scroll the comments on the F4SE page for a list of files for your preferred language.

Pasting in the files should look like this:

Remember, Right click>Paste doesn't work here.  Click in the text field and press Ctrl+v to paste.

Once complete, it will either tell you it completed in the last line, OR it failed.

Only some of the files have a readout as simple as this.

Others will display a lot of messages during the download process.

Ignore them.

Just watch the last line.

If it says the download completed, go ahead and copy the next line and paste it in.

Continue until all 7 files are complete.

If one fails, simply try again.

NOW the fun part.  Locate the files you've downloaded.

They can be found in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_377160\

There, you should see 7 folders.  Keep this location handy.

In another window, open your fallout folder.

You can find this through Steam.

In Steam, in your Libraries tab, right click Fallout 4 and click "Properties".

Next, Click "Installed Files" on the left.  Then "Browse" on the right.

If you did this correctly, you should have a folder pop up containing quite a few files and folders.

If so, Congratulations!  You're ALMOST there!

This is your Fallout Folder.

Now, you remember the folder you were told to keep handy?  The one with the 7 folders you just downloaded?

Here, you need to copy the contents of those folders into the Fallout folder you just opened.

I repeat; The CONTENTS of those folders, not the folders themselves.  With each of the 7 folders, go inside and copy everything within, and paste them in the Fallout folder.  You will get messages saying some files already exist.  Overwrite them.

Done with all 7 folders?

ONE FINAL STEP!

Now, you're done with those downloaded files.

Don't delete them, you may need them later if Fallout updates again.  Just remember where they are.

Back in your Fallout folder, open the "Data" folder.

DELETE every file in there that begins with "cc"

These are creation club files, and they will not like what we've done here.

If you've made it this far, CONGRAJULASHUNS!  You should be ready to play fallout again!

Now remember, set this game to update only when launched, and set steam into offline mode when you launch Fallout, lest it update again.  There are other things you can do, but this isn't that guide.  Now get out there and kill some muties!

Or get bent, whatever floats your boat.  I'm not one to judge.
