In Kinky World, why does my sim get -2 moodlet from being alluring

I don't mess with the attractiveness setting much, mainly because I don't want to set it only on my sim, but I also can't be bothered setting it for every sim in town every time I start a new game, so I usually just leave it at 5 for everyone. I tested setting my male sim to a 6, and a female NPC to a 6, and they both got the Alluring moodlet that gave them +5 to their mood, so I'm not sure what circumstance leads to it being a negative moodlet instead. What version of KW are you running?

Could this be due to aging? I noticed this on my female sims when in YA they had a 6 and a positive moodlet, but when they became adults, the same moodlet became negative.

It does seem to be affected by age. I set my sim to a 6, and then changed him from a young adult to an adult, and the moodlet went from +5 to -2. If I set his attractiveness to a 7, then the moodlet changes to +1. I guess the attractiveness setting is more or less how naturally attractive your sim is, but it's offset by your sim's age. Seems a little weird though that the moodlet goes negative rather than just disappearing, whereas if you have the default attractiveness of 5 there's no moodlet at all.

This is probably due to the sim's worries about his appearance, which is not what it used to be. And the other sims seem to like the younger ones more.

Here, I think the implication is that the attractiveness score is “undefined” rather than “average”. If only we could set an attractiveness score at the start of a new game in NRAAS-style table for all townies at once… It's pretty boring to do it through the debug pie menu for every sim in town

Yeah the system seems to more or less be disabled at 5. I think a value of 0 for that probably would have made more sense, but obviously I don't know exactly why that decision was made since I don't have all the info.

That's exactly why I don't bother setting it at all. I start new games frequently, and it would be too time consuming to set the attractiveness for every sim in town.
