Sexlab error popups, animations not starting, screen effects stuck, unable to control character after scene. (Papyrus logs attached)

Skyrim AE, Steam version, Using MO2 to manage mods.

 

This is entirely my fault because I tried to add in more Sexlab plugins after having a very stable game; I'm just hoping I can salvage my playthrough somehow. So of course I definitely understand if the answer is "you did this to yourself you idiot."

 

Papyrus1.log is from a session where I started a Flowergirls scene which went well, and then I tried a SLab scene which resulted in an error popup. The error read:

 

State 'empty'; function 'ClearAlias' is an internal function made redundant.

No mod should ever be calling this. If you see this, the mod starting this scene integrates into Sexlab in undesired ways.

Please report this to Scrab with a papyrus log attached.

 

After clearing this message, I noticed I could no longer switch between third and first person perspective. Even a save/quit/load would not restore this function.

 

Papyrus0.log is from a session where I went to my player home and slept in bed. I saw the "in your sleep..." notification and got a prompt for a scene with my spouse. I received the same popup message as above. The fish eye lens screen effect came up and would not go away after hitting hotkeys to stop the animation, loading another cell, fast traveling elsewhere, and save/quit/load.

 

I was not capturing logs when I killed a dragon and got the SLEN prompt for an orgy with my followers. There was no error, but the animation did not play.

 

I was also not capturing logs when I used a SLEN dialog prompt to start a scene, and the scene did play as normally, but I could not control my character at all afterward either with MKB or controller. I could hit escape and navigate menus, but that was it. I tried to reproduce this but even though I re-enabled SLEN after removing it to troubleshoot, I don't have any SLEN prompts in dialog at the moment (iirc it takes some in-game time for them to show up?). I really wanted to reproduce this one but couldn't make it happen again.

 

My save started with Flowergirls and Sexlab 1.6(?) installed. Later I discovered the 2.0PPlus version and installed that along with a bunch of other SLAB add-ins, a few at a time. I'll list them all out:

All were noted here as SE compatible so I don't think I grabbed any oldrim ones by accident. I am in the habit of running FNIS and LOOT after each mod installation.

I think I've fixed my problem. I'll put everything here in case someone else hits the same messages I did and ends up here.

 

First to back up a step. The first symptoms I had was the fade effect before a scene not working. To my memory this happened out of nowhere but computer problems rarely occur out of nowhere. The blur effect, instead of blurring, would kind of put the screen into this streaky grayscale effect. Difficult to describe and I did not capture images. Also the camera would occasionally just move itself. Not like freecam flying around, but like it had collision off and just went somewhere random in the cell.

 

I used the NetImmerse Save Cleaner (found here on LL), disabled as many SL mods as I could a couple at time, making a new save and cleaning it each time. (I would get a save game is corrupted error if I disabled SL itself, following the directions). I got it to a state where if I tried to start a scene it either won't play or the camera will go way above Skyrim itself as if you disabled collision and went up as far as you could. Disabling auto freecam seemed to address this. When I had just SL and SL PPlus, and could start scenes reliably, I re-added SLAL and animations, then my favorites. SLEN, SL Relationship Dialog, Amarous Adventures. The game was very unhappy whith Aroused missing, but its presence would cause different problems. I replaced it with OSL Arousal and I think everything is good. I still get stuck on canopy beds, I guess that can't be helped. I really like SLNights but sometimes when that's on scenes won't start. But sometimes they do, so I don't know.

 

Leaving everything else off for now. I haven't seen any of the "As you sleep you recall a past sexual encounter" with the fisheye blur filter, but I did set "pleasant surprises" in SLEN to 100% to kind of replicate that concept and that works.
