Disguise/transformation mods

Are there any mods that allow the player character to temporarily change to the appearance of an npc? Ideally, I'd want the disguise to be in the form of a skinsuit of some kind that the player can wear or take off but, if that doesn't exist, then whatever there is i'd like to see.

Also, if none of these exist, how hard would it be to make something like what I want to do?

Copying the body weight, racemenu morphs and outfit/inventory would be trivial. I foresee the biggest issue being copying the face. Racemenu/NiOverride may provide some magic I'm not aware of, but NPC faces are generally not the same as the face of the player. I wouldn't be surprised if the limitations in the mod above stem from issues like this. They probably create a copy of the targeted actor, then somehow have the player control that actor - perhaps similar to how the mods that allow you to turn into a bear or sabrecat do it.

Off chance, could something be done to make an npc's face a helmet or something? Like creating a helmet which the player can equip for another face? Similar to how devious toys did it for the original skyrim

Very much doubt expressions would work on that.

 

Edit: Hm then again, might be worth a try.
