ftlum Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Hi All. When I'm using an ENB, my load times are 3-4 times longer (without the ENB things load in about 5 or 6 seconds). I enabled and disabled FPS limiting and vSync without luck. I heard it might be a memory problem of sorts, but the new Safety Load mod didn't fix it.-- it's not an infinite loading screen per se. I'm not using a memory manager, so there's no issues with extra software doing something odd. I've tried several ENBs and only Stakado's Realistic and Cinematic ENB doesn't cause the prolonged load times. The big difference compared to the other's I've tried is that it uses 0.112 (an old one that doesn't have an enblocal.ini file). I'm not sure what specifically is making the difference, though. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the prolonged loading screen problem? I don't want to have to turn off the ENB every time I need to load a new area, if possible. (BTW my computer has an i7 processor, 2 GB GTX 770, 8 GB RAM, and SSD.) thanks in advance!
DigitalVixen Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It's a known "issue" - in the enblocal.ini you can turn off ENB during loading screens. IgnoreLoadingScreen=true Should be set like that to not run ENB during Loading Screens. You can also turn it on and off manually in-game.
axle356258 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I am new to using ENB in Skyrim, and I was having the same problem with a LONG loading screen, also was wondering why I was only getting 60 fps with dual GTX 670 (sli) until I read this, and @digitalvixen your answer was AWESOME, it fixed the loading screen wait time and I found where I can disable the vsync, (didn't know what it was until I accidentally found a reference to it) now I have around 100 fps average. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. OK EDIT I had made the changes and it worked great, UNTIL, I saved my game, quit, ran some errands, came home loaded my game and even with it set it's back to the same old LONG loading screens and I can tell that the enb is loaded on these screens.. I have it set ignoreloadingscreens=true anyone have a reason why this is???
mrlost Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 never disbale vsync on bethesda games weird things will happen to the game physics.
