Crashing near Taffington Boathouse

This has been very odd. My game's mostly stable but recently, as soon as I've gotten close enough to hear fighting around the boathouse due to the task of Defend Taffington Boathouse, the game crashes. The past few times I've visited it have had no issues.

I am also having a nightmare there.  I installed a transfer settlement blueprint and the game CTD'd at least 8 times.  I finally was able to remove that settlement and replaced it with another and the game still CTD's. I read somewhere that it may have to do with removing the shotgun in the boathouse before disarming it.  If so, there's no way around that bug.
