Mermaid sims legs and penis showing in mermaid form, is this an intentional thing?

I'm not sure if this has been happening the whole time I've been playing this family, but my male sims penis shows while he is in his mermaid form and I'm wondering if this is intentional so they can have animations in the water or if I have a broken mod. It doesn't generate an LE, but it is kind of annoying aesthetic wise. Am I able to disable this?
