Bastak21 Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 (edited) For some reason some of the followers mod I Install do have some purple shinings on the eyes. At first I thought It was because creator of the mod didn't included some texture that it supposed to but after I installed other mods from other creators they also do have the same problem. I tried asking the mod creator but He/she doesn't have any idea about this bug and it seems to happen only on me. Since I don't have any idea on what to do at this point I'm asking here in case anyone may have an idea or do have a fix for this problem. Here are some example screenshots about problem Spoiler I don't use any graphic mod besides a couple of performance fixing mods. And I already had this problem before installing them. traison Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Find one of the affected actors. Open the console. Select that actor. Note down the reference and/or base form id. Open xEdit. Load your loadorder as-is. Locate the NPC_ record for your sample actor. Locate their RACE record. Locate the associated eye HDPT record. Note down the mesh (MODL) used for that part. Note down which mod is providing that eye part. Locate the associated texture set (TNAM). Note down the textures (dds files) mentioned here. Open the eye mesh in NifSkope. Make sure all textures mentioned there that wouldn't be replaced by the texture set exist. If in doubt, check them all. Make sure all textures in the texture set exist. You can also take a shortcut here and check multiple affected actors, and at point #11 above if you come to the conclusion that all affected eyes are fom Eyes of Beauty (just an example) assume that the fault is with that mod. 1
Bastak21 Posted April 2, 2024 Author Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) I guess I can't find eye HDPT record, only files I managed to find related to eyes are these. Am I looking at wrong place? Edited April 2, 2024 by Bastak21

Bastak21 Posted April 2, 2024 Author Posted April 2, 2024 Ok after some digging only thing I found related to texture path and eyes were this two things The one at the bottom was Actor\Character\Eyes\EyeBrown_n.dds But I changed it to what you see because a file with same name was already existing in mod folder. And after that eye texture on the model in right slightly changed But nothing is changed in game still I have the issue The weird part about this problem is that other people doesn't seem to report such issues. So probably problem is on me. I was using İmproved eyes mod When I first encountered this issue, deleting that mod or installing eyes of beauty didn't fix at all. (This mods I encountered do have eyes of beauty on their credits) I don't encounter issue on every follower mod though for example I use fantasystyle follower and trustypilot follower pack they also have eyes of beauty on their credit but they don't have this issue. On the other hand mods I encountered this issue are Waifus (High Poly Followers) and Luz High Poly Follower ESPFE You may have already told me a fix in your in first post but My novice eyes to SSEedit couldn't understand what is the problem after some digging. And Things you mentioned are a bit complex to me. Also sorry for wasting your time
traison Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) So looking at the "Luz" follower. It seems to come with its facegen files already made so that may change things a bit. Since changing the textures in the facegen files affected how it looks in-game it seems the facegen file overrides whatever is defined in the RACE and NPC_ records. That simplifies things somewhat because now the issue is pretty much guaranteed to be in the facegen mesh. First thing that sticks out in the nif is the Specular Color value which is set to a bright blue #81a8ff. That, combined with the glowing eyes glitch, would probably produce the result you're seeing. Use another facegen mesh (perhaps a vanilla one like Lydia's) and compare the values; or change it to a different prominent color (like red) to see if you're poking the correct value. Edit: Could also try decreasing the strength value. Personally I'd use a known-good facegen example and just sync the values that seem related to the issue. Edited April 2, 2024 by traison
Bastak21 Posted April 3, 2024 Author Posted April 3, 2024 Ok thanks to ZckeZckT I managed to fix it. Problem was eyebrown_sk.dds texture wasn't linked in the Facegeom NIF along with some other texture paths. I added them and now it's fixed. Thank you for your help. 22 hours ago, traison said: So looking at the "Luz" follower. It seems to come with its facegen files already made so that may change things a bit.
