Building your own fault

So i was looking into how to build a small vault for experiments (uh) but came empty handed.
I seen a lot of faults on Nexus but they are mostly V81. Boring.

My main goal is to have a small vault, put a bunch of men or women inside, have it sealed, so it shouldn't be very large.

So the vaults on Nexus seem not what i have in mind. CK is a solution but omg how complicated it is. I have the impression i have to study what part i need to build the whole thing. Or just a room.

Is there a good guide that explains this?

The DLC seems to only work with vault 81 which makes it less desirable.

If anyone has tips, please share. I really would like to make that a reality, perhaps for everyone to use for whatever.

I toyed with vault 111 but then you have to quit the quest to have it working, deal with the starting issues like auto brawling and having to get your pip boy and using the elevator. Though i like the vault as it is small.

Maybe just a dream. Anyway, i appreciate for any tips or suggestions.

If you really want to do it and are ready to invest some time you can make it true. Probably faster than you expect. Dont be scared of the CK,

I would start with watching some tutorials like this one. Its from Seddon4494. He has a lot of very helpful Tutorials on the CK, he explains every step very well. And if you can build an interior cell like shown in the video then you have made a huge step forward.

It is a learning process. I would start with small goals. Do what the video shows and then change the walls, make it look like a vaultroom etc. There will be more to do for a working vault like how to create NPCs, give them ai packages, navmeshing etc (again dont be scared). But you will eventually learn and understand these things if you will.

Probably the best tip i can give, is to make backups of your mod every now and then and especially before doing or testing new stuff so you can rollback easily without doing everything again after something messed up. And save often :)

There is also a good playlist which includes Tutorials from many Youtubers for all kinds of things.

Instead of creating a new vault from scratch, you could basically also copy the design of an existing vault and pasting it into a new empty cell and rearrange some things etc. But there is a lot to consider and without knowing the basics it wouldnt get you far. I wouldnt do that before you are more comfortable with the CK.

This is good advise.

Definitely i will watch this video.

Well, the main premise was to have a fault that is shut and where one one and many man are kept. Or one man with many women.
There is in the lore of fallout these two ominous vaults with experiments and it fits nicely with the perverted plays everyone is having.

Now, i did not plan to make a large one. It should be not 1000 men or women in the fault but lets say 50. So there would be a couple of rooms where they sleep, a main area and one key to get out, that ideally would go from each men around every hour. The character probably never getting the key.

On the other hand i did toy with vault 111 around. Its small enough but i haven't figures out how to even sleep there. It is disabled somehow.
But i can see a story there. When you exit the chamber, instead of them all death they could be alive.

I looked into some vaults but they are huge. Too huge for my taste.

It could be either just a modders resource or more.

Not sure how good i am with CK. I do work with CK from time to time but i hate because no matter how good the computer is, it is always a challenge (plus crashes).

I did a test with vault 111 but it seems something is blocking or not loaded at that point so that nothing actually happens. Only if you attack there will be something.

Anyway, i kind of dropped that idea.

Thanks for the tip. I will watch the video and see what i can do or what i actually can't do. lol

There is a mod that makes the starting vault habitable and with an "addition" you get a cave in which you can build your own vault structures.

This is how I created my own BDSM paradise - you can find the mods for it in this blog... the whole thing also serves as the basis for my blog story in the Fallout universe
