3m4041
One of the things people like most about sandbox games, is that they DON'T have to follow a set schedule. They are free to do a little of this, and then go do some exploring, etc. and then come back to complete the unfinished task they had started. You'll notice that in most quests, even if the NPC asks you to meet them at midnight, they don't hold you to the typical concept of time. If you can't make it at midnight today, they will be there waiting for you at midnight tommorrow. Players would dislike your mod, if the schedule were too restrictive. Some distractions are unavoidable, and if they were unable to complete the task for one reason or another, and it prevented them from becoming king or queen, there might be some emotional outbursts. Following Guards around (any NPC that isn't naked) gets tiresome fast, let alone doing it for a whole day. Rather than patrolling the city all day, perhaps it would be better to set a reasonable goal-- like helping the guards fend off a zombie attack, or solve the mystery of who's been stealing all the cheese from the castle. Once you've won the people over, and saved them from doom, they will gladly ask you to be their king or queen. BUT then at the last minute, just before you receive your crown, there's a Boss-fight. Your long lost Brother from a different mother arrives and challenges you. He too received a letter, and has travelled from afar to claim the throne. Will you kill your own brother to become king or queen? Or will you become friends, and rule together? Figure out clues along the way, and learn about your family's past , to help you make your decision. Link to comment
