Vindictus: Defying Fate Playtest - Remove Clothing

Hey everyone,

 

Nexon just released a playtest on Steam for their new action RPG based in the Vindictus mmo universe. It's completely free to play and try! So far, there are two characters: Fiona & Lann. Game is controller friendly, as this was built with consoles in mind. There are lots of unique animations for the combat and is already pretty fun to play. Oh, and Nexon has gone to great lengths to add varying levels of physics across the characters' outfits. 

 

I wonder if anyone would be able to take a crack at modding here, as it seems the nude base is already within the game. Just thought I'd share!

It would be nice to see mods for this game. I remember Vindictus was very difficult to mod though. It's not that people didn't try, just that everything they did try got patched out, and got any modders banned. Maybe 3DMigoto might work? That's what Genshin Impact mods use, and they haven't had many issues.

 

Is the clothing damage still in this game? Or at least planned? That was one of my favourite parts of Vindictus, personally.

 

P.S. It's to be expected really, but they do have a section about this kinda thing in their EULA. I'll put it in a spoiler.

Basically, "We can, and will scan your computer to see if you're using anything that hooks into the game, and if we think you are, we can and will ban you, after getting all the data from whatever programs you were using"

So expect there to be pushback from Nexon.

 

P.P.S. It's an Unreal Engine game. I'm not super familiar with making UE game mods myself, but usually it's pretty simple. Though I wouldn't be surprised if this game used a custom build, making it difficult to decrypt. Plus, they might have some way to detect when custom .paks are loaded. It's worth a shot, either way.

That eula is a bit sus. but 3dmigoto does work. No one has posted the aes key yet. Game uses sig files so it might not be possible to use pak mods. If they add easy anti-cheat on release it might not be possible to mod at all. Anyways, outfit 3 has a nude body underneath. Have to remove the pixel shader for it though which may cause issues. She also doesn't have any toes.

The game is signed to hell and back and is using version 5.3, meaning almost all tools are outdated. I got the AES key, but it won't do much with how the game currently is. Both FModel and UModel crash on almost everything.

there is a 4.4.4.4 version of fmodel, it lets you look into the one pak, used it back in Hogwarts xD but this version does not support 5.3 only goes up to 5.2

Get what? the model is already in game he just used 3dmigoto to hide the clothes.

That's strange. The base body has toes, but they cannot be found in-game...

Additionally, is there a detailed way to view the pak file using umodel?

they usually mask a part of body to avoid clip in Vindictus.

just place the files where the exe is and it works automatically.

Also isn't the game running DX12? How did you get 3dm to work?

 

EDIT: Oh, I had to use -dx11 as a launch argument. Everything works now.
