Arken Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Hi guys I'm very new to sexlab and a bit new to skyrim modding in general. I have a couple of questions I would like to ask - I've looked around the forums but I didn't find a clear answer, if I missed it I apologize. Â Now I installed Sexlab and a first plugin to try it out and it seems to work like a charm. The main thing I don't understand is - generally speaking are all sexlab plugins compatible with each other? Of course I can understand that 2 plugins that do the same thing might conflict, but is there something specific I should look out for when I install a plugin to prevent problems with another one? For example the one I installed is Sexlab Romance, if I install Sexlab Submit is it gonna work fine? Â On a sidenote, using sexlab romance i noticed that during animations my character removes his torso armor but not his gauntlets and boots, is still normal or is there a way to fix it? Thanks in advance
TheDriedFinger Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 There are two good ways to determine conflicts between mods. First, look at the Descriptions pages. If the mods that you want to investigate are relatively popular, someone will have reported potential conflicts, which will probably be noted somewhere on the mods' pages. Second, the use of BOSS can be helpful. If the mod is recognized by BOSS, running the program can identify any conflicts that might exist among the mods that you are running. Â Regarding the torso armor-gauntlet-boot thing that you mentioned, this is a feature of SexLab Framework called minimal stripping. For certain animations, the Framwork will automatically incite minimal stripping. Other modders using the Framework as a dependency can also customize the animations that they trigger with certain elements, including minimal stripping. I believe that there is an MCM menu option in the Framework regarding this.
Arken Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Thank you very much, by the way I just started digging in the framework MCM and I was wondering, the options called "toggle foreplay" and "toggle animations", do they govern which kind of animations the plugins will use? Like if I check all of those animations, I will actually see more different animations? I was wondering cause a lot of them are unchecked by default (especially under foreplay) and I couldn't see why. I haven't noticed if there's a guide somewhere for the framework MCM options so sorry if that's already covered (I know how annoying it can be when new people show up asking questions already answered tons of time)
saladboy21 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I believe you can mark what gear you do and do not take off for sex. Helm and Gauntlets by default should be on during foreplay but vanish with the actual sex part starts.
TheDriedFinger Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 if I'm not mistaken, the "Toggle Foreplay" and "Toggle Animations" options you mention are actually pages? As a side note, pages refer to the tabs that you can choose on the left side of the MCM menu for any given mod; options are what you see as checkboxes/sliders/etc. in the middle of the menu. The concept is that, at least for most sex functions called by mods, SexLab will always start with a foreplay animation set and then progress to a "real" animation from there. You can select which are which from there. Obviously, you could check all of them. However, it is recommended that you use those options with a bit of judgement. Of course, it wouldn't be too sensible to have full-on sex animations checked as foreplay.
