Question regarding old email address

Hello,
I was unsure of how to find the info or get any help so I'll try here. Please let me know if this is not allowed or the wrong place to ask.

I'd like to change my email address that I use for this site. The problem is that I do not have access to the old email anymore (they stopped providing it a while back). Currently I'm just staying logged in but I'd really like to change to a new email address so that this account isn't gone for good if I am logged out.

I tried sending a message to a mod but I got no reply. Does anyone know if this can be solved and who may be able to help?

TLDR; I want to change my email address for this account and I don't have access to the old email address any more.

Doesn't look like you need access to the old address.  You need to go into Account Settings and change to the new email address, enter your password, and it will send an email to your new address for you to click a link to validate.  It only sent a follow up email to my previous address afterwards to provide warning that it had been changed.
