PersonWhoModsGames888 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 I downloaded a few nsfw mods here like Pals of Desire for example, and I like a lot of the model changes but some of them I'm not the biggest fan of. Luckily they're all individual .pak files but... deleting the pak files doesn't change the nsfw models back to normal, neither does adding a new pak mod for the same pokemon (a different chillet nsfw model pak for example). Aside from it being kinda annoying, I'm also somewhat worried about my save file getting corrupted after the next official update. I know I should've made a save file backup in hindsight, but is there anything I can do to remove these mods from my save file? Or is my only option to deal with it/start a whole new game?
brizzlethegoat Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 i dont get how this is happening? when I remove my mods they just go away lmfao
zileteh Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 the save files do not store the models for the pals. IT might have "you have a chillet with these stats, attached to this base, at this position" but MODELS, textures, visual stuff is not saved in the savefile. you might have multiple copies of the .pak file and you deleted one but the other still exists, but deleting the .pak is all you need. If you want to OVERWRITE a mod pack with another individual pal replacer, you can rename it to start with z_, zz_, zzz_ in front. Basicly lower in alphabet = loaded after and overwrites = higher priority. Renaming the file to start with _ or __ or ___ will make it load before pak files starting with "a" ergo have lower priority.
PersonWhoModsGames888 Posted February 12, 2024 Author Posted February 12, 2024 Thank you for the replies everyone. Yeah it just turned out there were duplicates of the chillet .pak file and removing all of them fixed the issue
