MMWorkshop Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 I'm hoping that some kind, mesh-savvy soul can help me with this. I've been searching around for days and haven't found a clear solution. I have several (female) follower mods that work quite nicely with SSE (both CBBE and UUNP, and the occasional cursed UNP...yes, I'm a heathen), but they don't have working nether bits which makes them rather unboinkable, or at least not nearly as boinkably fun. Yes, I could easily replace their body meshes with ones that already have working, collision-ready undercarriages, but the bodies match the characters quite well, so I want to keep them intact while just extending their...capabilities. I've tried working with HDT-vagina AIO, but BodySlide and I don't seem to get along very well. I'm passingly familiar with NifSkope, so I'm hoping there's a relatively straightforward way to copy over nodes/stringData to make this work, but whichever direction I need to go, I'd like to learn the process. If there's a guide that covers this which I have overlooked, please point me in that direction. If there's not...I'd give a left arm for one. Not my left arm, mind you, but a left arm, nevertheless. Thanks in advance, from me and several virtual maidens whose greedy fingers have been thwarted by the scourge of static meshes.
MMWorkshop Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Update: dicking around with NifSkope, I did manage to copy over the relevant meshes and extra data from another body mesh, and I can verify that they work...internally. The last issue now is how to er...split the seam, as it were...on the existing body mesh. I'm sure that's probably going to require Blender, or something like that (which I have, but I only use it for building fairly basic mechanical parts for 3D printing). Anyone have any handy advice for what it's going to take to fully animate (via collision) the mesh's otter-pocket? Or is there some positioning magic that I'm missing in NifSkope that will at least create the illusion of everything working correctly? I mean, I could just rebuild all of the bodies in CBBE from BodySlide, but that sort of defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish here. Any help would be appreciated.
bnub345 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 My advice is to just give the followers a physics body and try to match the old body shape using bodyslide sliders. You won't be able to just copy and paste parts from one body to another. Your way would require learning how to use 3DSMax or Blender and construct a body mesh from scratch. Even if you did that, it would take far more time and effort than you would get in return.
MMWorkshop Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Well shit. I was afraid someone would pop up and say that. That's what it looks like I'm going to wind up doing, but I was really hoping to find a way (mostly for the learning experience) of modifying the meshes to accept new additions with collision physics. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
