DOAXVV modding broken?

Hi! I'm trying to use the DOAXVV makeup mod, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I have 3dfix downloaded, the mod manager, the mod itself all installed and slotted into proper folders. But I can't seem to get the mods to work? I also tried dropping the mod folders into the Mod manager, and they would never show up.

A friend of mine used DMM version and these things work for them, but I use the steam version and it's not working. Is there a steam specific fix? Because the spiderweb of DOAXVV mod threads aren't really of much help.

Sometimes the hashes used by the mod change in the game with updates, so depending on the character you may need to find the correct/current hash and edit the ini in the mod folder.
I would start by just searching the forum for <character> hash.
