xiwibik30 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I'm using a bhunp body, I downloaded some costumes that unfortunately are only for cbbe and there are no conversions for bh/unp bodies. Consequently, I ran into texture issues with these outfits. I decided to try to solve this problem: I downloaded the cbbe textures and put them in a separate folder, then I changed the body texture paths via NifSkope in one of the costumes, but it still uses the standard ones in the game (say I put the cbbe textures in textures\cbbe, but it still uses the ones from textures\Actors\Character\female, which are for unp). Is there any way to fix this?

I checked the final version (in \meshes\...) and everything was ok. And everything looks fine in CreationKit too. But for some reason the game doesn't accept textures from another path

Save a preset in RM and inspect the skinOverrides array of the resulting jslot file. Edit: If I remember correctly, More Informative Console can list textures used by an actor. Might be worth checking with that as well. Edited January 25, 2024 by traison
bnub345 Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 You need to change the textures in the nifs that are built by bodyslide. If the normal outfit is outfit.nif, you need to find and edit both outfit_0.nif and outfit_1.nif. The problem with this strategy is you will need to repeat it every time you change anything in bodyslide. A better solution would be to edit the texture paths in outfit studio directly, then the changes would be saved and automatically applied by bodyslide every time the mesh was built.

I checked _0.nif and _1.nif, they were fine(with the right texture paths). I also opened this in outfit studio, it showed the correct paths there too. Well, I managed to solve this problem by creating a Texture Set in CreationKit and attaching that to the outfits.
