Can't use dildos?

I have some dildos downloaded for my sim to use but I can't figure out how to use them, I tried clicking on them while she's having sex with someone and nothing happens, tried clicking on them when she isn't doing anything and the only option it gives is to "put in inventory'. Once its in her inventory theres still no option to use it, anyone else having this issue or can you only use it with specific animations or something?

The sex toy CCs are just models. An animator will typically use one in an animation and ask the user to download the appropriate CC so that it shows up properly while it plays out.
