delta5o1 Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com/intro.html Anyone use this as a base? OR what guide do you prefer for MO2? I'm starting a fresh install and would like some input.
hewbert Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) The Midnight Ride is an excellent base for a vanilla plus experience. Just be cautious when adding mods as there will be conflicts with that list. Look up mod incompabilities on each mod authors page. For example in the TFM guide: "Private Profile Redirector F4 - Faster Game Start (INI File Cacher) [Royally fucks with INI files. Avoid like the fucking plague.]" Edited January 9, 2024 by hewbert

It is most definitely the best base for a vanilla plus or beginner modding experience. And it is definitely much more stable than any mod list I've ever played. I should also mention that the mods in the Extended are really good but not free of conflicts. Most of my mods are either have no conflict or have small conflicts that I fix myself in FOEdit. The most conflicts I had with the list comes from Who's The General. That mod conflicts with almost any mod that touches the vanilla quests.
