Now that the Machine Age update for Stellaris is a thing, would it be possible to get "machine" species version of this mod as well ? I have a feeling people will play machine races now a lot more because the gameplay for them is hella more interesting in Stellaris.

I downloaded this mod and actually launched the game, but the portrait did not load.
The only mods that were in use at startup were "UI Overhaul", "Lustful Void" and "Meruccubus race".
Also, the game was launched with all DLCs currently available applied.
However, when I then restarted the game without applying the "Machine Age" content, the portrait still did not appear.
Is there any way to improve this?
Sorry for my poor English.

The Machine Age update (3.12.X) alters portrait code, so most portrait mods aren't compatible without an update. This one hasn't been updated yet.

The only way to get this mod working is to downgrade to 3.11.X again through Steam Betas, but most mods have already updated to 3.12.X so they can't be used on that version now. Basically, you have to wait.

This mod has been updated to 3.12 for a while.  In the download section there is one version for 3.12 and one for 3.11 for users that might need it.

I just tested it again on my game with version 3.12.4 and it works perfectly fine for me.

Are you sure you downloaded the right version of this mod for your game? "Meruccubus Race 1.32 (Stellaris 3.12)" is for version 3.12 onward. "Meruccubus Race 1.3" is for older versions.

So, for new souls that try to use this mod - check the descriptor (.mod) file that comes with it and which you place it in the

Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod

It's kinda broken and you might need to change the "path" parameter inside. For some reason it builts path that starts from your drive and not just "mod/Meruccubus Race" like it supposed to. Sometimes it causes issues where launcher can see the mod and tells you that it's activated, but nothing changes ingame, because launcher and game read files differently.

Solution - change "path" manually to "mod/Meruccubus Race" (you can check other mods for reference, all descriptors follow the same style) and make edited file read-only, otherwise on next launch it changes back to broken path.

And yeah, mod is working fine on v4.2.3 and worked fine all the way back to version it was created for initially. (it's just portraits and race basically, nothing else really change, so it'll probably work for a long time, unless Paradox will do complete system overhaul instead of selling overpriced content)

When I play with these portraits, the portraits don't change past the rulers appearance choice, so all my leaders are the same portrait that i chose for my leader, same with my race portraits. How do I fix this issue? I downloaded the 3.12 one, might be a bit out of date or could be just me IDK.
