Prostitution Ideology

Consider this a mod request.  Just a few ideas regarding prostitution and how it can implement into the ideology system.

 

Yes, I know there is a whoring mod, This mod would require you to have it, it just expands on it.  It needs to basically just add some precepts and thoughts and perhaps trickier, maybe influence the romance attraction somewhat.  Also adds a role.

 

So heres my ideas on the basic precepts. 

 

Prostitution:

Illegal.  Pawns will think very negatively of pawns that have an ideology that supports prostitution, they will have strong negative thoughts of any pawn that is designated as a whore, and will have a stacking negative thoughts of those that engage in prostitution.  There will be mood debuffs to pawns with this precept if prostitutes are present in the colony.  Also pawns that are forced to be prostitutes against their beliefs will have the forced whore debuff increased.  A stacking mood penalty for each slave present.

Abhorrent.  Same as above, just less severe. 

Indifferent.  The default position.

Appreciated. Now prostitution becomes a mildly good thing.  The colonists will gain a mild mood boost if prostitutes are present.  The prostitutes will have a mood boost for being assigned to the role, and will get mild stacking boosts for each time they hookup, and colonists with supporting precepts will get mood boosts for being serviced by prostitutes.  A stacking mood buff for each slave present.

Exalted.  Same as appreciated but more intense.  Prostitutes become highly regarded, and will get a stacking opinion and mood boosts for prostitutes.

 

Slave Prostitution:

Similar to the prostitution precept, but it treats slaves differently.

Appalling.  Pawns will think very negatively of pawns that believe in and use slaves as whores.  They won't develop negative opinions of the slaves designated as prostitutes because slaves lack free will, but they will think strongly negatively of the faction that owns them.  A stacking mood debuff for each slave present.

Abhorrently.  Less appalling.  Same as above but the penalties are lower.

Indifferent.  The default position.

Appreciated.  Pawns will appreciate if slave whores are around.  They will develop positive opinions of the slaves and the slave owners.  A stacking mood buff for each slave present.

Exalted.  Same as appreciated, but more intense.

 

Prostitution is cheating:

Always.  This value makes so that hooking up with a prostitute counts as a cheating deed, and will carry whatever the associated penalties are.

Kinda.  This setting does count as cheating but reduces the penalties.

For men.  Women can engage in prostitution and it won't count as cheating, but for male pawns it does. 

For women.  Males can freely engage in prostitution and it won't be counted as cheating. 

For married men.  Unmarried men can hookup with prostitutes, it only counts as cheating if they are married.

For married women.  Hookups only count as cheating for women if they are married.

Never.  Prostitution never counts as cheating for any pawns.

Slaves exempt.  Pawns can hookup with slaves and it won't count as cheating. 

 

Pimping:

Allowed.  Pawns get a mood boost if their partners hookup so long as they are designated as prostitutes.

Women.  Men are allowed to pimp out their wives so long as they are designated.  The men get a mood boost for each time their spouse hooks up.

Men.  Wives are allowed to pimp out their husbands so long as they are designated as prostitutes.  They get a mood boost for each time.

Dissapproved.  pawns get mood penalties and opinion penatlties if their partner hooks up.  This is the default value.

Forbidden. Pawns get massive mood penalties and negative opinions that last a long time.

 

Strip shows count as prostitution 

yes.  Pawns being serviced by a stripper with be counted as having hooked, even though no sex occurs. 
kinda.  Same as yes, but penalties get reduced

no.  Default value. Pawns can be serviced by strippers and it doesn’t count as a hookup. 

Slaves exempt. Strip shows performed by slaves don’t count. 
 

Role:

Pimp.  Has a special ability that allows them to basically initiate a hookup.  Its basically a ritual where they act as the officiator and you pick a prostitute and a patron. Can also initiate a gangbang or an orgy.

Harlot.  Has the ability to hookup a target and collect more money that regular prostitutes.  Higher chance of success than standard hookups.  Has a short cooldown.  For ideologies that despise prostitutes, this role is extra despised, and for ideologies that revere prostitutes they get massive social bonuses.

Stripper:  can initiate a strip show.  It’s basically a ritual.   Those that attend such shows will either be turned on or turned off depending on ideology and orientation and sex need.  This can make them much easier to entice by designated prostitutes. 

 

Patches:

Certain ideologies, both vanilla and other mods can get patched to inject precepts. Christian origin and Jewish origin for example are going to despise prostitution. Raider type ideologies will be very open to it.  Most religions will be indifferent. 
 

Pawns that are ideologically opposed should be much harder to initiate hookups with prostitutes. That way you don’t have a bunch of space Amish sleeping with hookers and then feeling bad about it and going on mental breaks all the time.
