3d model export from blender question

Hey, so I am trying to use blender to change/add some meshes but I am trying to figure out how to export properly. It seems I should be using 2.49 with the old scripts to get functional .nif files out of blender. I also found nifly for blender 3.0 but I'm not sure if that will work for oblivion but it works for fo3 skyrim etc and should be able to just import a .nif and export it the same way with no problems. Before I install older versions of blender since I'm on linux and it's a tarball, I'd like to just ask anyone with experience if they could tell me the best way to export a .nif that is compatible with oblivion? At the moment the latest version of blender definitely doesn't work with any script to properly export. It seems to import the nif files but not want to export them.

The best option is to use 3dsMax. - Just download it from a torrent if there is no criminal liability for it in your country.
But control the normals and UV later (For rendering in Oblivion, when changing the mesh, problems may arise - glare on the UV seams)

================

In principle, you can export meshes to B.2.49, but you need to update the normals in Nifscope later.

I don't remember the settings because I don't use it except for complex models from DAZ.

Is there a specific version of 3dsMax I should be using?

Be careful with the laws in your country and torrents

Because a person with the same nickname wrote insults to me because I did not allow him to use my work in his mod.
