Sofiya and the Ancient Clan - Switch Decensor Mod

When this game came out on Switch I found that the original sexual animations were still in the game file but could not find a way to make the game actually show them.  The PC version has a censor setting in the menu but the Switch version does not.  I looked at it again recently and found a way though.  When I change this variable the sex animations are in the game without censoring.  They are small pixel art like games like RePure Aria but the main character can have sex with many enemies.  If anyone wants to know how I did this I opened data.unity3d in Unity Asset Bundle Extractor to decompress it then opened the decompressed file in Unity Asset Bundle Extractor Avalonia.  Each one gave me errors on different things but this solved the problem.  In sharedassets2.assets inside the file is a value called var_bool_censureTheGame which I exported as a json dump.  I edited the json dump to change censure from 1 to 0 and imported that dump then saved it.  It is funny but this setting is saved in the save game so if you save then load the game without the mod it will still be decensored.  I think this would work the same with the PS4 and PS5 version but do not have one to try.  If you can transfer the save to a system without mod then it would still be decensored.  With censor disabled the gallery crashes so do not try to use it.  I do not know how to fix this.  It probably tries to load different files that were in the original game but not in this.

 

To install this on switch put data.unity3d in /atmosphere/contents/01000C9017E70000/romfs/Data on the memory card.  For emulator just right click game and click open mod dir then make ./romfs/Data and put data.unity3d there but if you play on pc better to find original game.

 

The developer edited the gallery images to censor them for console.  I do not have a copy of the pc version of the game to copy the original images from but wanted to make them have nudity so I created images with stable diffusion.  Because these are ai they are not great but I am not an artist.  I am sharing what I did though anyway.  This is an example of the mod images:

Left is original right is the mod.  It is good enough for me.  If it is not good enough for you just use decensor only mod and you have only original graphics.  I think not all original images had nudity but can not compare without pc version and do not know what the developer edited.  It is more fun this way anyway.  I did not edit sprites.

Make sure you're on version 1.0.0. It might be the update that keeps crashing the game as that was the issue for me.
