_Starfruit Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) So I've been trying to switch to the XXL version of FNIS so I can have more animations. Normal FNIS has been working fine, and I can run it without issues, and all the animations work properly. However, when I try to use the XXL version (making no other changes to my mods/load order), it gives a warning for (as far as I can tell) every single mod trying to add an animation, saying that they are "not Skyrim compatible". This is my FNIS XXL output, the only patch I have selected is the skeleton arm fix. The creature pack is also installed, however uninstalling it makes no difference. Running normal FNIS (with some animation packs disabled, since otherwise it would be above the limit) gets me a normal, warning-free FNIS output, and everything works fine when loaded into the game as well. Most notably, FNIS XXL's output includes the warning about not being run from the legal directory. It also doesn't seem to be able to detect the version of the game (It says `Skyrim 32bit: ??.??.?? - `), while standard FNIS does not have the warning, and is able to detect the version of the game just fine. I've tried doing what the warning instructs and launching through steam, but my setup is a bit weird in that regard. I've used Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patcher to downgrade from the newest steam version (1.6.1130) back to 1.6.640 to keep compatibility with mods. A side effect of this is that when the game launches normally (like through steam), it crashes on startup. This is easily fixed using the mod Backported Extended ESL Support, but it requires SKSE, which means I basically can't launch the game from steam while downgraded. The game launches, but crashes pretty much as soon as the Bethesda logo shows up. Just for laughs, I tried updating my game again and then running FNIS XXL (despite it and every other mod I have being for the wrong version), but it still shows the warning, even after launching the game through steam. It's also worth noting that I actually tried switching to FNIS XXL a while ago, before the recent update, and I still had the exact same problem as now (although I don't remember if FNIS XXL detected the game version properly or not). Also just to double-check, since it's quite unclear from your post, you can disable/uninstall 'normal' FNIS while using FNIS XXL. Also don't forget Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE for your proper version. 1

Already tried reinstalling FNIS XXL like you said, downloaded it fresh and everything, no change. Edit for anyone coming to this from a search result with similar issues: Skyrim 32bit indicates you've got the wrong version of FNIS, indicating you've got the LE version installed. Unlike other google searches (most searches will provide the SSE version of mods over their LE counterpart), a google search for FNIS will provide the LE (32bit) version as the first result. I downloaded the wrong FNIS XXL, its the LE version. Thats why its keep showing using skyrim 32bit rather than 64bit. why didnt I use Nemesis? cause its didnt support with the (G)Old Sex mods that most loverslab (this website) provide. FNIS is still thriving here and almost never I see any mods here could use nemesis. Nexus where the Nemesis thrive didnt have a lot of Sex animation like loverslab so FNIS still thriving here.
