Strange issue with my mods

Greetings,

I'm having an issue with my mods where one of them does not seem to be applying anymore, despite it being LOWER in the MODS load order, I'm using ModOrganizer 2, and this issue never happened before, at least up until I updated MO2...

THE PROBLEM: I have the Furry Races overhaul mod running alongside Furry Fallout 4, Preston, Jun, Mama Murphy, and a few other random settlers are supposed to be Vulpines, while Marcy, Sturges, and some others are supposed to be Lupines, meanwhile a small selection of folks are whatever Furry Fallout 4 can manage, but now Marcy's a hyena, Preston's a lion, and it's a huge mess, I've not attempted to explore further to see if MAYBE the mods are STILL working, but I'm more focused on trying to get THIS back to normal, I've tried updating what mods I needed to get working again, but to no avail. I've since abandoned FO4 as a result.

Just as a side note: Most of my mods are not from LL, but Nexus seems to have nuked any sort of support forum for FO4, so I figured I'd come here for the help.

I have attached my mods load order, maybe you can see something I can't? (Apologies for not including my PLUGINS load order, but exporting it doesn't seem to be possible in MO2, unless I just forgot how to do it, which is likely...)

Maybe you haven't had an answer because not enough players use the same combination of mods to know how to help you.

You're going to have to try and resolve it yourself most likely. Get fo4edit, load your entire mod list in fo4edit, and see where the problem lies between the three mods, and go from there.

You'll probably have to sort it out yourself... because obviously you won't find anyone willing to help you.

If you're not willing to learn more than just how to install mods... you should just leave modding games alone.

Oh I'm willing to learn, probably not a good idea to make assumptions, but even I will need some guidance, given that I'm new to this, and again, it's never behaved this way before

Alright, but I'll need some guidance on what I should do, I'm willing to learn, but I will need some guidance, given I'm new to using this

Just start by downloading fo4edit, opening it up and looking at the mods that are conflicting. After that trying searching for tutorials about fo4edit and about the potential issues you see while in fo4edit.

Failing that, take screenshots of the conflicts and post them here, and we can take a look.

Though not exactly descriptive, this has to be the best advice I got yet, it was apparently a conflict being resolved in my plugins differently since the update, turns out it was an issue with my plugins load order, which I had completely forgotten was ALSO important, I just tried it, and it worked exactly like I wanted it to! Thanks

I took a look at your mod list and since some of it leans towards sex mods - the first thing you should do is take a closer look at the correct installation of the AAF system

Since you obviously don't have much of a system when it comes to using mods, it's initially useful for you to acquire such skills... even if the race reworks you use aren't primarily covered there.

You have to learn to understand how different mods interact and interact with each other!

Ultimately, I can only give you recommendations - such as starting with a clean new installation and working systematically and slowly.

This also includes doing a "practical test" after every major installation step -> in the form of restarting a game playthrough with a NEW character... this is the only way to test certain aspects of a newly installed mod.

And yes - that will take a lot of time... with your mod list it would take me 2-3 months - which is mainly because I don't use this racial modification myself.

My mod list - which I use to create a blog story - took me about 3 months until everything worked to my satisfaction - about 30% of the installed mods were new to me.

If you're all about gaming...then don't modify games that extensively!

I've been modifying games for more than 20 years... often enough I spend a few weeks or months a year just trying to cleanly integrate the mods I've chosen into the game... and often enough I've had to do a complete re-installation.

That's great and you're welcome. Fo4edit is fairly user friendly, unless you are going to edit mods, create patches etc. So I didn't think you'd need an excess of information, when you'd just be seeing if you could spot any obvious issues.

Danke

Alright... next time - when a user opens a thread because of problems - I'll ask as a matter of principle - whether and which mod manager they use!

I use Vortext... and a mod update can cause the loading order to shift - if you let everything run "automatically".

Fortunately, it wasn't an AAF issue, it was a Furry Fallout/Fluffy Races Overhaul issue, AAF has been pretty good to me for the most part, but thanks for the heads up

Ich benutze MO2, es gefällt mir besser, ich weiß nicht warum, Mod-Virtualisierung und was hast du, schätze ich? Aber ja

Ihr Messen

So you're not that inexperienced after all... I know phases where you can't get any further with your mod image alone - but then you can't get any help in the forums.

With Fallout 4 it's simply because (for this forum) -> there are only a few mod authors active and quite a few have returned to "Skyrim" ... this means that many mods are available (for download and installation) - but there is no support from the authors.
