BE suggested the animation error happened as a result of the object with which the interaction was to occur might have been out of reach and suggested moving it, but I thought for the sake of posterity, it might be worth mentioning here in the interest of improving potential bugs with the mod. This was completely autonomous. I was not interacting with anything and this was while I was at the fireworks festival. I was not interacting with any painting at the time so it was likely a NPC. What I was trying to do and failing to repeatedly was sing "A heroe's journey" at the microphone.
