SwampyFood Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Hi, are there any tools out there that will update all mods? Since the latest update some of my mods are not working, and features of the new for rent expansion don't work.
thatruth25 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Unfortunately, no. Or at least not that I know of. This happens with every major update to TS4, especially with new expansion packs. What I normally do is turn off auto updates, and wait things out for like a week. Most creators try to update as soon as possible, but sifting through the new codes and walls is always an issue. https://simsvip.com/category/the-sims-4/broken-updated-mods/ I like this site a lot. It's a comprehensive list of mods with their different statuses, and links to their download pages. From what I've seen, the mods that tend to break the most are script mods. Try taking out the mods that really change gameplay, moving them to a separate folder, and adding them back in one by one, then booting the game up and seeing what changes. It's tedious forsure, but you can pinpoint exactly what file is breaking your game and move it out/track it online for updates. Sorry this isn't the answer to your question, but I hope it helps! 1
Crazy Doll Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Nop you have to update them by yourself (when the update is made live by the modder).

Try the Sims 4 Mod Manager - Sims 4 Mod Manager (gametimedev.de) It does pick up some mod updates, though beleive these are mostly ones offered on CurseForge. Saying this it has picked up stuff on CurseForge to update which I hadn't obtained from CurseForge

Things like MCCC, Wicked Whims, Nisa's, Basemental, UICheats, etc. Make sure you have the latest version of every major mod you have. Any mod with a .script component like the ones I listed.
Gambit Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 You can try Curseforge as mod manager. It's maybe the less bad mod manager for now : - You can download mods from Curseforge database. - You can update them with very few clicks. But, there is some limits : 1) As many mod manager, you have to be carefull each time you install/update a mod because sometime, you have to remove optional files or someother file management. 2) Curseforge doesn't have all the sims4 mods, so sometime you will have to install them manually and so check by yourself for update. I don't use it, I tried, but limit #1 was a red flag for me. But if they resolve it somehow (like mod organizer did), I would maybe use it.
