Can not save my cleaning in TES5 Edit

Well basically I have followed the excellent video by gopher in order to clean any dirty edits as my game is more unstable than is playable.

I used the latest TES5Edit kit  and when i try and save in the correct fashion i get this error message-

 

exception message  ; cannot open file "c\users\homonid 20000000000\desktop\TES5Edit_log.txt".Access is denied.

 

Consequently  none off my change\cleaning saves.

Does anyone have any advice and or a solution.

Are you running it under program files directory?   Having the game and the tools outside of this directory will help you avoid these problems.  Otherwise you should probably run them as administrator.

 

Hrmn nevermind I see you have the folder on your desktop.  Try dropping it into a directory under C:\   Try running it as administrator   and make sure you do not have the TES5Edit_Log.txt open when you save.
