That file, like a couple of other skin overlays, are always broken, no matter what I download, they never work.

I tested in my game with the sims3melancholic_martha skin.package in the zip and works okey. The problems is in the file in your game -may be its old- or another file corrupt  the file in your game. I cant help with that issue.

Well my problem is that the skins I download cannot be extracted due to corruption, and this happens all the time with different sims from different creators.

But the ones you provided me with that link seem to work so thank you very much for that!

Cool. Maybe you have to change the unzip program.
