So I've stumbled upon a game called "Wander Hero" on Steam. It is a rougelike RPG with interesting gameplay where you uses a "pinball" mechanics to attack the enemy.

 

The real kicker of this game though is the fact that you can freely change the main characters's avatar (your MC and companions) with any image you wishes, so long as the file is in PNG/JPG and has the width/length over 1024px. So, you can effectively swap the default avatar with any lewd images you wanted.

 

Below are some of the changes I have made using some game sprites I got from other games. Note one of the character with Chinese name, it's actually a custom character I got from Steam Workshop that I've changed the image of it. Unfortunately, though, the game doesn't allow you to freely rename any of the characters at the moment.

In addition, the game is also mod-friendly, as the devs provided a sample modding folders for creating stuff ranging from change the protrait of minor characters to stuff you needed to create a completely new custom companion, with an option to add custom voiceover and skills. I think I have seen quite a handful of these custom characters on the Steam Workshop page already so I think some people are already working on it.

Given that the game's store page put a heavy emphasis on "isekai harem" stuff but does not explore it on the game itself any further (other than the fact that you can marry more than one companions), I think this game has a potential to be expanded further. Maybe I might wanted to learn how to make a custom companion mod for it one day.

 

So, anyone interested in making mods for this game?
