Tales from the Commonwealth - Auction off Spader's secret holotape

Does anyone know how the auction starts? The auctioneer just asks me if I want to bid. I don't see any possibility of auctioning off the holotape.

When you enter the hall, you will find a board on the right wall. You just have to click it and then the auctioneer will start the auction for the tape after a while. In most runs he had to finish just one other aution and he may ask you to bid for that until he sells the tape.

Thank you. I looked around at the front of the podium because I thought the switch was there. I had completely missed the blackboard on the wall without a flashlight.
