Many people here will probably already have noticed this, but just in case: Skooma Whore seems to be working well together with Skyrim on Skooma (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80975), which brings the simulated skooma addiction to the next level. Due to the fantastic hallucinations the mod lets you have, it succeeds in making the player to really want that next hit, just to find out how many more unique trips there are to have... This, in combination with making the skooma harder to obtain, and illegal, and a bunch of other related mods, you know which ones I mean, finally makes for a truly immersive drug addiction experience. And best of all! It works in VR, too. Now go get your hit!
