Would be nice to just be able to edit your body in a more detailed way than the built in character creator atleast xD 

I guess it will take quite a while to reach this mod's quality

It should be a 3bbb available to use with male / female / Androgyn and also Shemale bodys in mind. Fully flexible editable schlong Boobs Hips Ripcage and everything in between. 3BBB was also the body i was in the end from skyrim.

So dear 3BBB builder from Starfield please keep all bodys in mind when doing such a thing perhaps as a ground template.

I'm just curious to see what the new body mod will be called. We've had two games with CBBE now (3BBB is based on CBBE), but I haven't heard if Ousnius or Caliente will be porting to Starfield. TBH, I'm not sure (besides Bodyslide) what that would look like, since I've always been very disappointed in CBBE and its variants in Fallout 4, although I think part of that is due to the lack of custom skeletons like in LE/SSE.

It was said in the starfield modding discord that ousnius will port CBBE. Just a matter of time, we need tools first for some of the more advanced mods first. A while ago. didn't think i was hanging around there that long.

(now i will *poof* again. you didn't see me.)

I'm still hoping we also get an XPMSSE equivalent for Starfield, that was the big thing missing from Fallout 4. None of the body types felt like they were of the same quality as what was available in Skyrim due to lack of decent skeletons, or so I believe. Could also be the janky lighting.

One of those should work I think. And I've seen expired talking about what he needs, but SFSE needs a bit more development before we get a looks/racemenu.

I tried to dig into the nifskope forums to see if they are still alive, but no luck.  I'll look around xentax because I'm pretty sure all that's stopping the process is for someone to figure out the headers for nifskope.  Which is needed for mesh/obj data and such.

Okay looks like Hexabit, the bsa extractor guy is trying to figure out the header:

Till this is figured out, not much mesh work will probably be done.

Also for anyone who is curious about the stormtroopers guys mod, it was basically a hack job.  Meaning he had to do a lot of hex coding to get that to work in game properly. 

 

It looks like people have been able to export starfield meshes as obj...but that's not skinned/weighted meshes.  Only good imo for static objects.

 

I'm keeping my eyes peeled on the discord convos, but until I see a commit to the nifskope github it's probably moot lol.

As much as I want 3BA, I can't forget that it was a result of nearly a decade of modding. Here's hoping the translation to SF is simple enough.

Looks like they also figured out that there's going to be more than just 0 and 100% weight.  Or the usual _1 and _0.  Fat, skinny, buff.  So I'm expecting 6 variation.  Most likely everyone will work with one of those types at the start.  Someone was playing with the female body as an OBJ...but without a skeleton or weighting its kinda pointless at this point..
