After all these years, I still don't understand how strapons work

Title. Reinstall after reinstall, remodded several times, and strapons still don't want to work for certain animations, ever since the very first time I tried Wicked Whims. I really don't understand what's wrong. Like, even when just installing honorary animations and nothing else, strapons still don't get equipped for a lot of animations.

 

And yes, I installed all kinds of strapons / strapon collections out there, they still don't show up.

 

And... yes, my Sim does have a strapon set-up.

 

I won't believe that no one else has this problem, I'd just like to know why it happens and if it can be avoided in any way.

 

Edit: I remember a friend of mine telling me that it's animators' fault for not adding something in the xml file, like forced strapons or gender, something like that, but I don't think that would be the case in 2023, especially with honorary animations.

This happened to me in the past. 

Did you disabled or unequiped the strapon on a sim?

IIRC, there's also an option that you have to tick so that WW will predict or assume that a sim needs a Strapon.

Hello! No, the strapon is enabled and equipped. I don't know about that option though, maybe I enabled it but I don't remember right now. If you could tell me where it is or what it's named I might remember about it ❤️

 

Edit: It occasionally works with some animations, though...

Wicked Whims settings >> Sex Interactions >> Gender >> Predict who uses strap-ons

It's probably a visual bug. Happens to me sometimes.

My bad, it was actually in Sex interactions >> Sex StrapOns Settings >> Predicted Recognition

Try to change your default strapon too. It might be bugging out

So is there really no solution to this? While they have sex, it says "remove strapon" as if it was equipped, but it's not.

 

I have this problem ever since the very first time I downloaded wicked whims, on my old computer LOL!

 

It doesn't always happen, it's just with certain animations. I only have honorary animations installed, though, nothing else.
