[0.17b] Difficulty Overhaul


This is an experimental feature that replaces the "Personality" section in the Character Creation screen with options for game difficulty and how the XP Multiplier behaves. Here's a breakdown of the new configurations:

 

Difficulty Levels:

  • Effortless

    • Max XP: 3
    • Min XP: 1.5
  • Easy

    • Max XP: 2.5
    • Min XP: 1.25
  • Normal

    • Max XP: 2
    • Min XP: 1
  • Challenging

    • Max XP: 1.5
    • Min XP: 0.75
  • Brutal

    • Max XP: 1
    • Min XP: 0.5
  •  

 

Multiplier Types:

  • Scaled: This is the default behavior. Higher player stats lead to a lower multiplier.
  • Reversed: The opposite of Scaled. As player stats increase, the multiplier also goes up.
  • Fixed: The multiplier remains consistent, based on stats at the time of character creation. Future stat leveling won't change the multiplier.
  • Static: The multiplier is a fixed value based solely on the chosen difficulty, irrespective of player stats.
