Unknown Mod Exceptions Traces To WickedWhims

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I am a bit perplexed at something that is happening in my Sims 4 game at the moment. It does not seem to be an issue directly with Wicked Whims itself but the filepaths mentioned in the Last Exceptions and the logs often mention WW in connection with the behavior in game. The issue is occurring with toddlers and infants. To be precise, my adult Sims are unable to pick up and care for infants at all, they just T pose, pop up a Last Exception notification and then resume being their normal selves. With the toddlers, well... Toddlers can be picked up and placed, they can be mostly interacted with and they can interact with other sims and even several objects in game. But they cannot pick up a toy to play with it or pick up a book to read. They just T pose, put out a Last Exception and then resume being their adorable little selves. Adult sims are also unable to read to any toddlers and cannot bathe them in tubs and shower/tubs. When I look at the Last Exceptions or the logs, the fielpaths for these actions all mention a WW inability to retrieve some "change_world" animation.

I might add that something similar is going on with my female sims when taking pregnancy tests at toilets. The women just pay for the test, T-pose, put out a Last Exception and then stand somewhere just off the toilet. The pregnancy also fails to start and I have to use MC Command center to temporarily "fix" the issue (to make the pregnancy start). And sometimes, when I open MC to start the pregnancy effects after my sim takes the test, I am told that the sim is not pregnant? I looked into this in the files as well and found that it was also apparently coming from something about WW not being able to initiate the "change_world" thing or whatever it is.

Someone please help, as this has made it difficult for me to actively raise my sims' kids and admittedly is also a bit annoying to deal with when it comes to the pregnancy starts...

@LydiaJoystickDeetz remove Sims4Community Library and all mods that depend on it.

Check all your script mods in terms of being compatible with your game ver. and update them or remove not updated ones.

Check your CC objects (especially beds if you own High School Years) cause they might cause issues if not updated for HSY.

You might as well repair game and let game generate new Sims 4 folder.

Name old Sims 4 folder 'Sims4 old' or move it to desktop or different drive > repair game > run game so it generates the folder again> test if it works.

Then start adding mods slowly and testing in between.

I'm pretty sure all of my script mods are updated except one that has not had updates in a few years that I don't like to play without. I'll see if that's the source of the issue. I have deleted a few of the beds, I'll look into removing more of them. Removing mods and CC I feel I could do without, deleting the AvatarCache, the Cache-str, the online thumbnail cache, the mod logs, the thumbnail cache and the last exceptions every time I do is what I've been doing... slowly. It takes my game a while to boot up, so I'll delete things, boot it up and then have my fun playing for a long while even if I'm having the issues still and then I'll save, quit the game and repeat the following day.

Wait... Doesn't Wicked Whims require Sims4CommunityLibrary? Is WW broken right now?

WW doesn't need S4CL. Devious Desires needs it.

But Turbo and DD author got beef, so WW (and MCCC) won't work well if S4CL or DD is detected.

I'll advise to test your game 1st with only WW and few animations to see if there is issue or if it's some outdated mod.

No WW does not require S4CL.. that is used in another set of Mods, that are completely uncompatible.

Oh. For some reason, I thought WW used it so I had kept it around. I don't use DD anymore. I'll just go remove S4CL then. Thank you!

Update: I'm still getting the same errors after removing S4CL, just now without notifications. Guess I'll just keep removing things from my mods folder.

I put your lastException file again into Sims 4 LE assistant (turbo's site) and this is what came up (just so you have some clue):

Spoiler

1)

Posture Graph Error
Base game or Modification issue with the animations system.

A Sim failed to generate path connectivity required to adjust posture for a task to perform.

These errors are only caused by not being able to access an object that changes Sims posture when interacting with - like seats, tables, beds, showers, toilets, pools etc. Perhaps positioning of objects at the lot is causing problems with Sims pathing.

If this error doesn't stop occurring, look into recently placed custom objects and remove them. Otherwise you're safe to ignore this error.

2)

Participant Resolver Type Error
Outdated mod need to be fixed.

An outdated modification is providing participant data into a 'DoubleSimResolver' while the resolver expects different participant data.
The mod creator is required to fix this error.

You need to locate the PACKAGE file, in your The Sims 4 Mods folder, that could be causing this issue and remove it.
If this is a new issue, try removing the most recent mod you have installed.

3)

Outdated Tunable Resource Error
Outdated Tunable Resource (Interaction) requires removing.

Tunable Game Resource (Interaction) contains incorrect/outdated information.

You need to locate the PACKAGE file, in your The Sims 4 Mods folder, that contains this resource and remove it. Try starting with the oldest modifications you have.
If this is a new issue, try removing the most recent mod you have installed.

4)

Scheduling Hard Stop Error
Base game issue with interrupting Sim active task.

For the most part, you're safe to ignore this error.

5)

Posture Runtime Error
Possibly base game issue with Sim posture.

Sim carry posture failed to be created due to missing data. For the most part, you're safe to ignore this error.

So yeah, I guess you need to update your mods and 50/50 them and see if you find issues.
